Turkish artillery continued bombardment of Zap region, close to Turkey-Iraq border, with mortars and howitzers yesterday.
Armed wing of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) said Mirganis village and Sehid Dijwar areas of Zap region were bombarded by the Turkish army.
According to organizations statement Turkish army also conducted a large scale operation in Peyanis area of Hakkari region yesterday. The Turkish troops with the participation of special units withdrew to their bases before dawn.
On the other hand in Batman, members of special forces threatened residents of Kelhasan, Sebane and Tira villages according to local resources.
Special units are active near the villages with support of aerial units of the Turkish army. Turkish army told villagers to remove their sheeps from the grasslands.
