Turkish military operations in Bingol

Wednesday, 20 October 2010

BINGOL, Northern Kurdistan, -- Despite the extension of unilateral ceasefire on the Kurdish part, the Turkish military operations keep going on in Kurdistan.

Turkish Army launched a major operation against Kurdish guerrillas in Bingol, the report said on Wednesday.

According to a statement by HPG, the armed wing of Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK), Turkish Special Forces launched a sudden-attack to Perxane region.

Kurdish Defence Forces (HPG) said the details of the results of the operation is not clear and will be made public later.

HPG also said Turkish forces withdrew from mountainous regions in Diyarbakir and Sirnak after unsuccessful military operations.

Meanwhile Turkish Army is continuing bombarding the guerrilla bases in the Defence Regions of Medya. According to HPG, Turkish artillery bombarded Avasin region, near the Turkey-Iraq border yesterday.

It should be noted that after 1954, apart from the Korean War in1949-52 and the invasion of Cyprus in 1974, the Turkish Army operations have continued to be exclusively against the Kurds.

Turkish crimes against Kurdish people have gone beyond imagination. In the footage below Turkish soldiers were filmed while dragging on the ground and kicking the bodies of two Kurdish guerrillas who had lost their life in fighting.
