Delegation to Kandil to discuss Kurdish unity

KCK’s unilateral ceasefire will be ended on 31 October and just days before a delegation composed by the Kurdistan Parliamentarians Union visited Kurdistan Democratic Confederation (KCK) officials in Medya Defense Territories in order to discuss Kurdish national unity.

An 8-person delegation including chair of the Kurdistan Parliamentarians Union Nimet Abdullah Pirdavut and vice chair Kerim Bahri Bradost met head of the executive committee of KCK Murat Karayılan and member of the executive committee Bozan Tekin.

It is reported that mostly the issues about Kurdish national unity were handled during the visit and preparation of the Kurdish national Congress was also discussed. Changing balances in the world, the reality of the Kurds and need for a mutual approach were also in the agenda.

Although a concrete road map was not reached at the end of the meeting the visit was reported to have aim at discussing the national congress.

Kurdish Parliamentarians Union has also received information on the ongoing trial against KCK.

While it is reported that another meeting has already took place between the union and KCK and more visits are expected to take place within the framework of the upcoming national congress.
