Memorial Event for the Gorran activists Zana Heji Bakir and Sardar Namali

The grief and anguish that poured from the larger family of Gorran activists in Kurdistan and the Kurdish Diaspora for the tragic and sudden departure of Sardar Namali and Zana Haji Bakir was overwhelming. The terrible car accident that claimed the lives of these two dedicated and committed stars, also seriously injured their comrades, Fouad Jamal, Rebwar Khalid and Shorish Hamid. The tragic accident happened in Belgium on 13th September 2010, while all were on their way back to the UK from a meeting in Berlin.

Gorran activists and the Kurdish community in the UK are holding a Memorial Event on the 40th day in their memory on Sunday 24th October 2010 between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.

The three injured activists would be speaking at the event and recalling those dreadful moments.
