Turkish army launched a cross-border artillerty attack against Kurdish guerillas yesterday.

Turkish army launched a cross-border artillerty attack against Kurdish guerillas yesterday. No casuality was reported while the attack caused forest fires in Xakurke and Haftanin regions close to Turkish border.

People’s Defence Forces (HPG) said Turkish artillery bombarded Dola Alanis, Dola As and Betalma areas in Haftanin yesterday. A forest fire broke out after the bombardment.

Another attack was lauched against Kurdish guerilla bases in Tepe Koordine, Tepe Telefon, Sehid Beritan and Karker ares in Xakurke yesterday.

HPG reported no casualities in both attacks.

Turkish army routinely lauches cross-border attacks despite the ceasefire declaration by Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) on 13 August.
