School Boycott for mother tongue education is to extend at universities

Kurdish students at the universities will launch a boycott campaign next week.

While the school boycott for mother tongue education launched by the Kurdish Linguistic Rights Movement TZP- Kurdi continues at primary and secondary school level across Kurdistan, university students are also preparing to boycott lectures which are to start next week.

University students who started a Kurdish language lessons campaign at universities in 2001 and faced strict sanctions and punishments are preparing to boycott lectures starting next week in İstanbul, Diyarbakır, Van, Ankara and İzmir.

It is reported that while the school boycott campaign receives a great support university students will join the boycott next week with the opening of the new semester at universities.
