Villagers of Peyanis to evacuate the village

Villagers of Peyanis where 9 villagers have lost their life as a result of road-side bomb attack are preparing to evacuate the village.

It is reported that villagers of Peyanis where 9 villagers have lost their life as a result of road-side bomb attack are preparing to evacuate the village. The villagers while carrying their household goods with four lorries started leaving the village on food. The attempts of the elderly of the village to stop the villagers have failed.

After the roadside bomb attack of 16 September which left 9 villagers dead the Turkish authorities have failed to find out the responsible and covered up the incident. The villagers demanding the authorities to catch the perpetrators are abounding their village.

The villagers stated that half of the 300-house village are leaving today and the rest will be moving tomorrow. While the eldest of the village Mehmet Tunc (85) tried to stop the villagers at the entrance of the village pro-Kurdish BDP and NGO representatives also came to the village.

Due to shortage of vehicles the villagers will move in two days. It is also reported that the villagers will migrate to Iraq, Iran or Syria. The villagers also organised a protest at the venue of blast by holding the pictures of the victims and posters.
