Ahmet Salih Yıldırım will be buried today

Shopkeepers in Doğubeyazıt closed up their shops for the funeral of HPG (People’s Defense Forces) guerrilla Ahmet Salih Yıldırım'ın (Brusk Azman), who lost his life in the clash near Boztepe (Gordê) Village and Dêm Hill of Tendürek Mountain in Ağrı.

The body of Ahmet Salih Yıldırım (code named Brusk Azman), who is registered in Doğubeyazıt/Ağrı, was taken from Trabzon Forensic Medicine Institution to Doğubeyazıt by his family. It has been stated that Yıldırım will be buried in Doğubeyazıt City Cemetery at midday hours today.

While the shopkeepers in the county didn’t open their shops by early hours in the morning, soldiers and policemen laid siege to many areas in the town. In addition to the armoured vehicles and mobile force units positioned on all side streets on the way to the cemetery, a TOMA (a special police vehicle that has been replacing panzer recently) was located in front of the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) building on Ağrı Street.
