Rahim Rashi is on his 40 days of hunger strike

EASTERN KURDISTAN, Mahabad Prison -- Rahim Rashi, a Kurdish prisoner, has spent his 40 days of hunger strike in Mehabad prison.
According to Harana news agency, Rashi is sent to quarantine (dungeon), which he is not allowed to see his family. Although his health condition is deteriorating dramatically, the jailors and prison official are too reluctant to respond to his demand.
Rahim Rashi is a Kurdish prisoner was arrested on 20th July 2010 and has started hunger strike a day after he was arrested in protest of his unlawful arrest.
Currently there are hundreds of Kurdish political, civil and Human Rights activists in Iranian prisons, who are experiencing all kind of serious brutal and inhuman physical and psychological tortures.
It is important to highlight that there are 18 Kurdish political, civil and Human Rights prisoners on death row, including Miss Zaynab Jalalian, women rights activist.
