Nothing in the amendments for the Kurds
Kurds will boycott the constitution which ignores the Kurdish people and their rights, said Emine Ayna, Kurdish MP of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP).
Speaking in BDP’s boycott campaign in Derik district of Mardin Emina Ayna said the Kurdish approach to the constitution is very clear. Regarding the incoherent statements from AKP officials Ayna also said “Kurds know these personalities very well and they will receive their answers in the referendum when they will see that the voting boxes are empty.”
Emine Ayna also referred to the news published by Gunluk daily in Turkey in which the Turkish Minister of Justice poses in AKP’s referendum campaign with Behçet Karaağaçlı a murder convicted of killing the chair of pro-Kurdish Democracy Party (DEP) in Hatay. “Even this picture itself is enough to boycott the referendum”, added Ayna.
Chair of Samandag district of DEP Mehmet Latifeci and his father were killed by Behçet Karaağaçlı in 1995 who raided their houses. Although the he was convicted of killing, he was released with an amnesty.
