Ayna: Erdogan's brain works in a 'fascist and racist' way

MEP Emine Ayna harshly criticized Turkish Prime Minister's remarks about Kurdish politicians, saying his brain works in a "fascist and racist" way.

Last week Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters about ethnicities of three Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) parliamentarian saying "What kind of a Kurdish party is BDP? Akin Birdal and Ufuk Uras are not Kurdish".

Speaking in a BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) meeting in Mardin, Ayna said for Erdogan it's impossible to think that an ethnic Turk will stand up and defend Kurdish rights. She said that's because Erdogan's brain works in a "fascist and racist" way.

Ayna also underlined the need for a new constitution and said "a constitution which says 'one nation-one language' will never help democratization of the country".

"We won't vote and say 'yes' for a constitution like this" she said.

Regarding the unilateral ceasefire declared by the PKK, Ayna said that Kurdish mothers still cries after their sons while Turkish mothers sons lives are spared by the PKK.

"There can be no peace while a Kurdish mothers tears doesn't stop" she said.

She called the Turkish government to stop the military operations against the PKK.
