In memory of Hama Jaza: one of Kurdish music’s legend

To honour the death of the Kurdish legend Hama Jaza who passed away on 1st October 2010, friends, fans and family members will attend an evening of remembrance to show respect for the late singer. The gathering will take place in central London on 9th October 2010 at the Abrar Islamic centre in Edgware road – central London.

After a long battle with cancer Hama Jaza has died in his hometown of Slemani. He is a well-known Kurdish singer whose popularity grew in the late 70s and 80s. He is well respected among all Kurdish as one of the greatest singer of his generation.

Hama Jaza was not only a singer and musician, but also a veteran Peshmarga and a great Kurdish patriot.
