Turkish court declared investigation on chemical weapons confidential
A Turkish court declared an investigation on chemical weapon use against Kurdish guerrillas confidential today.
Human rights organizations presented a petition to the Batman Attorney General last month demanding an investigation on alleged chemical weapons use against Kurdish guerrillas last month.
The Attorney General declared the investigation confidential today and refused to give any details to the representatives of the human rights organizations.
On 8 August clashes broke out between HPG guerrillas and the Turkish soldiers who were running an operation in Hicre region near Besiri. Five Kurdish guerrillas were killed.
The relatives of the guerrillas spotted unusual burns on the bodies during identification process.
