Reports say clashes erupted in Dersim

Two Turkish soldiers were killed in a clash with Kurdish guerrillas, Turkish media reported.

The fighting broke out as Turkish army conducted an operation against the Kurdish guerrillas in Ovacik, a district of Dersim province. Two Turkish soldiers were killed and another wounded. Turkish officials claimed a PKK guerrilla was also killed in the fighting.

Clashes continue between the army and Kurdish guerrillas in the region.

PKK declared a ceasefire on August 13 and extended it for two times lately. Turkish army ignores the ceasefire and continues its operations against the Kurdish guerrillas.
