Family of prisoners warn Iranian regime

TEHRAN, Iran, -- The most families of the prisoners of conscious, who are in hunger strike in Evin’s disreputable prison in Tehran, have forwarded a warning letter to the public prosecutor of Tehran to verify the prisoners’ requests.
According to Kalama’s website, prisoners’ families on Friday 29th July 2010 have cautioned the Iranian Authorities by sending a note to Abbas Jahfari Abad, the public prosecutor of Tehran, and mentioned “if the requests of prisoners won’t be considered immediately, they are going to strike as well.”

Since Wednesday 28th July 2010 a number of prisoners in compartment number 350 of Evin notorious prison are on strike due to the dreadful situation of this prison in Tehran.
They have declared that they are striking to respond to the awful condition the prisoners are in and also because of sending 16 political prisoners to solitary containment.
The reports confirmed that they stay on the strike until the improvements of the situation, apologise from the prison officials are made and the end of the solitary confinement 16 prisoners, are made.
