Manoucher Zonoozi will be taken before court by force as asked by Roj Tv's lawyers

Roj TV’s former director Manoucher Zonoozi who is on trial for corruption will be taken to before court by police force in order to testify in the corruption case against him. Former director Zonoozi is accused of malversation of 500 thousand Danish krones belonged to the television. He also started disseminating false allegations against Roj TV after it was proved that he has peculated the television’s money.

The hearing against the former director was held in the Danish capital Copenhagen the other days in which Zonoozi did not show up without presenting any excuses. The judge also upheld the request from Roj TV’s lawyers to bring Zonoozi to the court by police force. In the hearing the Defendant Zonoozi was supposed to state when and how he would pay the money back.

It is reported that if Zonoozi fails to give a plausible and acceptable guarantee about how to pay the money he stole from the Roj TV the court is likely to issue an arrest warrant and send him to prison.

A Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende reported on 15 August that Zonoozi has changed his name and is under the protection of the Danish Intelligence Service (PET).

In June after embezzling accusations against him were proofed Zonoozi alleged that Roj TV is financially supported by the PKK. While Roj Tv officials denied the allegations they also stated that Zonoozi was sacked in 2008 because of the money he stole from the TV and he is now trying to escape justice by disseminating false allegations.
