Kurds in London today protested against the closure of the legal Kurdish party, DTP, in Turkey.
Wearing metal chains, to signify the repressive measures taken against the Kurds in Turkey and in sub zero temperatures, Kurdish youth walked past the foreign office and joined the static protest of around 200 people.
It was the final day of a week of protests that have targeted the media and human rights groups to pressurise international attention on the situation of the Kurdish leader, Abdullah Ocalan and recently the closure by the Turkish constitutional court of DTP.
A letter from the Kurdish Federation in the UK was handed into the Foreign Office.
