YEZIDI EVENT

We are now able to send you full details of the Yezidi event we are organising about which we alerted you some weeks ago. We hope very much that you will be able to join us for what we think will be a most enjoyable and interesting evening.

The programme will begin at 6.30 with a film about the Yezidi faith followed, at 7.00, by a welcome from Simon Keyes of St Ethelburga's and Sarah Panizzo of Gulan.

From 7.15 onwards the programme will be:

Presentation by Dr Khanna Omarkhali: Yezidism, the Religion of the Peacock Angel

Introduction to Yezidi Music by Nahro Zagros

Panel Discussion chaired by Simon Keyes - with panellists:

Professor Christine Allison, Ibrahim Ahmed, Professor of Kurdish Studies, Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter

Dr Nelida Fuccaro, Lecturer in Modern History of the Arab Middle East, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS)
