04-11-2009

Erbil - The head of the Change list parliamentary fraction says that they have evidence that new ministers are involved in corruption.

Kwestan Muhammad, the leader of the Change list told Rudaw: “We have evidence that some of the new cabinet’s ministers are involved in corruption.” Kwestan Muhammed says the opposition is going to question the ministers in parliament with ‘proof’ in the parliament.

The Change list (Gorran) managed to win 25 seats in the Kurdish elections of 25 July and challenged the ruling parties PUK and KDP. It’s led by Nawshirwan Mustafa, a former PUK deputy secretary general turned opposition leader. The Change list party claims their main priority is to stop the internal issue of endemic corruption (Photo: Rudaw).
