Utrecht – Soon Facebook will be accessible in both main Kurdish dialects Sorani and Kurmanci. On Facebook, it’s now possible to select ‘Kurdish’ as a language, but until now only 3% of the website has been translated to Kurdish. Facebook started translating it social network site to Kurdish, after a campaign of Facebook Group with 18.000 Kurds asking for a Kurdish language version of Facebook. The campaign was the initiative of the creators of the Kurdish version of Mozilla Firefox and Wikipedia. They spoke with the administrators of Facebook for the Kurdish version and called on all Kurds who speak good Kurdish and English, to help with translating the website on this page. Rudaw also has it’s own Rudaw Fanpage for constant updates about Kurdistan.(Photo: Facebook). © Rudaw
