TEHRAN, Iran, -- According to Saham News, in a meeting that Mehdi Keroby attended with the family of Mensor Osanlow, the leader of the Worker Union of Bus drivers, stated that he “feels ashamed as a person who works in this system (the Iranian’s current system of governing) and pleaded to the public not to regard the current Iranian government and the Iranian system as Islamic.”
Mehdi Keroby, one of the founding figures in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the critics of the elections of last year in Iran, stated that “the situation of Iran was better towards the political prisoner’s families before the Islamic Revolution of Khomeini.” He added that “the behaviour of Revolutionary Guards is cruel and conducted atrociously towards the civil people.”
Mansor Osanlow was a worker unionist activist who was arrested several times in 2006 and last time was arrested in 2008 and has been held incommunicado up till now. He was working as a leader of a Union of bus drivers.
