22nd commemoration of Chemical bombardment of Zardya

KERMANSHAH, Eastern Kurdistan – 22 years ago in 22nd July of 1988 Saddam’s aircraft attacked a Kurdish village in Kermanshah region called Zardya by chemical weapons. The lethal gas caused 275 death and several thousands were injured.

After 22 years many residents of the village especially the injured are still suffering from chemical illnesses due to the Iranian regime failure to provide any facilities for the survived.

The Kurds have faced many of similar oppressions and mass executions by the Kurdistan occupiers and many Kurdish cities and villages such as Sardasht, Halabja, Zardya and Meriwan were attacked by chemical weapons.
