Sherzan Kurt the young Kurdish student, who was assaulted by Turkish chauvinists in Muğla on 11 May, has been found dead today. Mr. Kurt had been seriously wounded by a gun shoot and was transported to Izmir hospital where his conditions have been declared very serious by doctors. Kurt was in a coma and never came out of it.
On 19 May he was found brain-dead but his other vital organs where still functioning. This morning these also ceased to function. The young student's body will be transferred to Batman where his funeral will be held.
